Connections is the latest puzzle game from the New York Times. The game challenges you to categorize 16 words into four secret groups by identifying their relationships. The puzzle resets daily at midnight, with varying levels of difficulty. Similar to Wordle, you can track your winning streak and compare scores with friends.
If you’re struggling with today’s Connections puzzle, check out our tips and hints below. And if you need the answers, they are provided at the end.
How to play Connections
In Connections, you’ll see a grid of 16 words that you must organize into four sets of four by identifying their connections. These connections could be related to video game titles, book series sequels, colors, restaurant names, and more.
Although some words may fit multiple themes, there is only one correct answer. You can shuffle and rearrange the words to visualize the potential connections better.
Each group is color-coded, starting with the easiest (yellow) and progressing to the hardest (purple).
Select four words and click “Submit.” If correct, the words will be removed, revealing the connecting theme. Incorrect guesses count as mistakes, with only four allowed before the game ends.
