Connections is the latest puzzle game from the New York Times. The game challenges players to categorize a pool of 16 words into four secret groups by identifying the relationships between them. Each puzzle resets daily at midnight with varying levels of difficulty, allowing players to keep track of their streaks and compare scores with friends, similar to Wordle.
If you’re struggling with today’s Connections puzzle, check out our tips and hints below. We’ll also reveal the answers at the end if needed.
How to play Connections
In Connections, you’ll encounter a grid of 16 words, and your goal is to group them into four sets of four by identifying the connections they share. These connections could be related to video game titles, book series, colors, restaurant names, etc.
While some words may fit multiple themes, there is always one correct answer. Players can shuffle and rearrange the words on the grid to better visualize potential connections.
Each group is color-coded, with yellow being the easiest, followed by green, blue, and purple. Select four words, submit your answer, and if correct, the theme connecting them will be revealed. Incorrect guesses count as mistakes, with only four allowed before the game ends.
