Connections is the latest puzzle game from the New York Times. The game challenges you to categorize a pool of 16 words into four secret groups by determining how the words are related. The puzzle resets daily at midnight with varying levels of difficulty. Similar to Wordle, you can track your winning streak and compare scores with friends.
If you’re struggling with today’s Connections puzzle, check out our tips and hints below. And if you still can’t solve it, the answers will be revealed at the end.
How to play Connections
In Connections, you’ll see a grid of 16 words, and your goal is to group these words into four sets of four by identifying the connections between them. These sets could relate to concepts like video game franchises, book series sequels, shades of red, names of chain restaurants, and more.
Some words may seem like they fit multiple themes, but there is only one correct answer. You can shuffle and rearrange the grid to help visualize potential connections better.
Each group is color-coded, with yellow being the easiest, followed by green, blue, and purple. Select four words and click ‘Submit’. If correct, the words will be removed, revealing the connecting theme. Incorrect guesses count as mistakes, and you only have four before the game ends.
