Connections is the newest puzzle game by the New York Times. The objective is to categorize 16 words into four secret groups by identifying their relationships. The game resets daily at midnight with varying levels of difficulty, allowing you to track your winning streak and compete with friends, similar to Wordle.
Some days can be more challenging than others. If you’re struggling with today’s puzzle, check out our tips and hints below. And if you still can’t solve it, the answers are provided at the end.
How to Play Connections
In Connections, you are presented with a grid of 16 words. Your task is to organize these words into four sets of four by identifying the connections between them. These connections can range from video game titles to shades of red or names of chain restaurants.
While some words may fit multiple themes, there is only one correct answer. You can shuffle the word grid to aid in identifying potential connections.
Each group is color-coded with yellow being the easiest, followed by green, blue, and purple.
Select four words and click Submit. If correct, the words will be removed and the connecting theme revealed. Incorrect guesses count as mistakes, with only four allowed before the game ends.
