Connections is the new puzzle game by the New York Times that challenges players to categorize 16 words into four secret groups by identifying how they relate to each other. The game resets at midnight, offering a new puzzle each day with varying levels of difficulty. Similar to Wordle, players can track their winning streak and compare scores with friends.

How to play Connections
In Connections, you’ll receive a grid of 16 words and your goal is to group them into four sets of four by identifying the connections between them. These connections could range from video game franchise titles to shades of red or names of chain restaurants.
While some words may seem to fit multiple themes, there is only one correct answer. Players can shuffle and rearrange the words to help visualize potential connections.
Each group is color-coded, with the yellow group being the easiest to discern, followed by green, blue, and purple groups.
Select four words and click “Submit.” For each correct guess, the words will be removed, and the connecting theme will be revealed. Guessing incorrectly adds to your mistake count, with only four available before the game ends.
