Connections is the latest puzzle game from the New York Times. The game challenges players to categorize a pool of 16 words into four secret groups by identifying how the words relate to each other. The puzzle refreshes daily at midnight with varying levels of difficulty. Similar to Wordle, players can track their winning streak and compete with friends.
If you’re struggling to solve today’s Connections puzzle, check out the tips and hints below. And if you need help, the answers are provided at the end.
How to play Connections
In Connections, players are presented with a grid of 16 words and must organize them into four sets of four by identifying the connections between them. These sets could revolve around themes like video game titles, book sequels, colors, or restaurant names.
While some words may seem to fit multiple themes, there is only one correct answer. Players can shuffle and rearrange the words to see the potential connections more clearly.
Each group is color-coded, with the yellow group being the easiest, followed by green, blue, and purple. Select four words and click Submit. A correct guess will reveal the theme, while an incorrect guess counts as a mistake. Players have only four mistakes allowed before the game ends.
