Connections is the latest puzzle game from the New York Times. The game challenges you to categorize a pool of 16 words into four secret groups by uncovering how the words relate to each other. The puzzle resets daily at midnight with varying difficulty levels. Similar to Wordle, you can track your winning streak and compete with friends.
If you’re struggling with today’s Connections puzzle, check out our tips and hints below. And if you still can’t solve it, we’ll provide today’s answers at the end.
How to play Connections
In Connections, you’ll see a grid of 16 words, and your goal is to organize them into four sets of four by identifying the connections between them. These sets could revolve around concepts like video game titles, book sequels, shades of red, or chain restaurant names.
While some words may seem to fit multiple themes, only one answer is completely correct. You can shuffle and rearrange the grid to help visualize potential connections.
Each group is color-coded, with yellow being the easiest, followed by green, blue, and purple groups.
Select four words and click Submit. If you’re right, the words will be removed, and the connecting theme will be revealed. Guess incorrectly, and it’ll be counted as a mistake. You have four chances before the game ends.
