Connections is the latest puzzle game from the New York Times. The game challenges you to categorize a pool of 16 words into four secret groups by discerning their relationships. The puzzle resets nightly at midnight with varying levels of difficulty. Similar to Wordle, you can track your winning streak and compare scores with friends.
If you’re having trouble with today’s Connections puzzle, check out our tips and hints below. If needed, we’ll reveal today’s answers at the end.
How to play Connections
In Connections, you’ll see a grid of 16 words and your goal is to arrange them into four sets of four by identifying the connections between them. These connections could be related to video game franchises, book series sequels, shades of red, or chain restaurant names, among others.
While some words may fit multiple themes, there is only one correct answer. You can shuffle and rearrange the words to visualize the possible connections better.
Each group is color-coded, with the yellow group being the easiest and progressing to green, blue, and purple groups.
Select four words and click Submit. If correct, the words are removed, and the connecting theme is unveiled. An incorrect guess counts as a mistake, with only four mistakes allowed before the game ends.
