Connections is the latest puzzle game from the New York Times. The goal is to categorize 16 words into four groups by identifying the connections between them. Each puzzle resets daily at midnight with varying levels of difficulty, similar to Wordle. You can track your streak and compete with friends.
If today’s puzzle is challenging, here are some tips and hints to assist you.
How to play Connections
In Connections, you must organize 16 words into four groups by identifying their connections. The groups could be related by themes like video game titles, book series, colors, or restaurant names. Shuffling the words can help visualize possible connections.
Each group is color-coded, with the yellow group being the easiest to solve. The green, blue, and purple groups increase in difficulty.
Select four words and click “Submit.” If correct, the words will be removed, revealing the connecting theme. Guessing incorrectly counts as a mistake, with a limit of four mistakes.
