Connections is the latest puzzle game from the New York Times. Test your skills by categorizing a pool of 16 words into four secret groups based on their relationships. The game resets daily at midnight with varying levels of difficulty. Like Wordle, you can track your winning streak and compete with friends.
If you’re struggling with today’s Connections puzzle, check out our helpful tips and hints below. If you still can’t solve it, the answers are provided at the end.
How to play Connections
In Connections, you’ll see a grid of 16 words and your goal is to organize them into four sets of four by identifying common connections. These connections could be related to book titles, cat coat patterns, emotions, or words starting with vegetables.
While some words may seem to fit multiple themes, there is only one correct answer. You can shuffle the grid to help visualize the connections better.
Each group is color-coded for difficulty level — yellow is easiest, followed by green, blue, and purple.
Select four words and click Submit. Correct guesses reveal the theme, while incorrect ones count as mistakes. You have four mistakes before the game ends.
