Connections is the latest puzzle game from the New York Times. The game challenges players to categorize a pool of 16 words into four secret groups by uncovering the relationships between the words. The puzzle resets every night at midnight, with each new puzzle varying in difficulty. Similar to Wordle, players can track their winning streak and compare scores with friends.
If you’re struggling to solve today’s Connections puzzle, check out our tips and hints below. And if you still can’t crack it, we’ll provide the answers at the end.
How to play Connections
In Connections, players are presented with a grid of 16 words and must organize them into four sets of four by identifying the connections between them. These connections could be related to titles of video game franchises, book series sequels, shades of red, chain restaurant names, and more.
While some words may fit multiple themes, there is only one correct answer. Players can shuffle and rearrange the words on the grid to help identify potential connections.
Each group is color-coded, with the yellow group being the easiest to figure out, followed by green, blue, and purple groups.
Select four words and hit Submit. If correct, the words will be removed from the grid, and the connecting theme will be revealed. Incorrect guesses result in a mistake, with players having only four mistakes available before the game ends.
