Connections is the latest puzzle game from the New York Times. The game challenges players to categorize a pool of 16 words into four secret groups by identifying how the words relate to each other. The puzzle resets nightly at midnight with varying difficulty levels. Similar to Wordle, players can track their winning streak and compare scores with friends.
If you’re stuck on today’s Connections puzzle, check out our helpful tips and hints below. And if you’re still struggling, we’ll reveal the answers at the end.
How to play Connections
In Connections, you’ll see a grid of 16 words and your goal is to organize them into four sets of four by identifying their connections. These sets could revolve around concepts like video game franchises, book series titles, shades of red, or chain restaurant names.
While some words may fit multiple themes, there is only one correct answer. Players can shuffle and rearrange the word grid to uncover potential connections.
Each group is color-coded, with the yellow group being the easiest, followed by green, blue, and purple groups.
Select four words and click Submit. Correct answers will remove the words from the grid and reveal the connecting theme. Incorrect guesses count as mistakes, with a limit of four mistakes before the game ends.
