Connections is the latest puzzle game from the New York Times. Your objective is to categorize a pool of 16 words into four secret groups by determining how they relate to each other. The difficulty of each new puzzle varies, and the game resets every night at midnight. Similar to Wordle, you can track your winning streak and compete with friends.
If you’re struggling with today’s Connections puzzle, check out our tips and hints below. If you still can’t solve it, we’ll reveal the answers at the end.
How to play Connections
In Connections, you’ll see a grid of 16 words and your task is to group them into four sets by identifying the connections between them. These connections could be related to video game titles, book series, colors, restaurant names, and more.
Although some words may fit multiple themes, there is only one correct answer. You can shuffle and rearrange the words to help visualize the connections better.
Each group is color-coded by difficulty level: yellow (easiest), green, blue, and purple.
Select four words and click Submit. If correct, the words will be removed, revealing the theme. Incorrect guesses count as mistakes, with only four allowed before the game ends.
