Connections is the newest puzzle game by the New York Times. In this game, you need to categorize a group of 16 words into four mystery groups by identifying how the words are related to each other. The puzzles reset at midnight every day, with varying difficulty levels. Similar to Wordle, you can keep track of your winning streak and compare scores with friends.
If you’re struggling with today’s Connections puzzle, check out our tips and hints below. If you still can’t solve it, we’ll provide the answers at the end.
How to play Connections
In Connections, you’ll see a grid of 16 words, and your goal is to organize them into four sets of four by finding the connections between them. These connections could be related to video game titles, book series, colors, or other themes.
While some words may seem to fit multiple categories, there’s only one correct solution. You can shuffle and rearrange the words on the grid to help identify the connections more easily.
Each group is color-coded, with yellow being the easiest, followed by green, blue, and purple. Select four words and click Submit. If you’re right, the words will be removed, and the theme will be revealed. Four incorrect guesses end the game.
