Connections is the latest puzzle game from the New York Times. The game challenges you to categorize a pool of 16 words into four secret groups by determining their relationships. The puzzle resets daily at midnight with varying levels of difficulty. Similar to Wordle, you can track your winning streak and compete with friends.
If you’re struggling with today’s Connections puzzle, check out our tips and hints below. And if you still can’t solve it, we’ll reveal today’s answers at the end.
How to play Connections
In Connections, you’ll see a grid of 16 words, and your goal is to organize them into four sets by identifying their connections. These sets could relate to categories like video game franchises, book series sequels, shades of red, or chain restaurant names.
Some words may seem to fit multiple themes, but there is only one correct answer. You can shuffle and rearrange the words to visualize potential connections better.
Each group is color-coded, with yellow being the easiest, followed by green, blue, and purple.
Select four words and click Submit. If correct, the words will be removed, and the connecting theme will be revealed. Incorrect guesses count as mistakes, with only four allowed before the game ends.
