Connections is the newest puzzle game brought to you by the New York Times. The challenge involves categorizing a pool of 16 words into four secret groups by identifying the relationships between the words. The puzzle resets daily at midnight, with varying levels of difficulty. Similar to Wordle, you can track your winning streak and compare scores with friends.
Some days are more challenging than others. If you’re struggling with today’s Connections puzzle, check out our helpful tips and hints below. And if you’re still stuck, don’t worry, as we’ll reveal today’s answers at the end.
How to Play Connections
In Connections, you’ll be presented with a grid of 16 words, and your goal is to organize these words into four sets of four by determining the connections between them. These connections could revolve around themes like video game franchise titles, book series sequels, shades of red, or chain restaurant names.
While some words may fit multiple themes, there is only one correct answer. You have the option to shuffle and rearrange the words to better visualize the potential connections.
Each group is color-coded, starting with yellow (easiest), followed by green, blue, and purple in increasing difficulty.
Select a set of four words and submit your answer. If correct, the words will be removed, and the connecting theme will be revealed. Incorrect guesses count as mistakes, with only four chances available before the game ends.
