Connections is the latest puzzle game from the New York Times. The game challenges players to categorize a pool of 16 words into four secret groups by identifying their relationships. The puzzle resets daily at midnight with varying levels of difficulty. Similar to Wordle, players can track their winning streak and compare scores with friends.
If you’re struggling with today’s Connections puzzle, check out the tips and hints below. And if you still need help, the answers are provided at the end.
How to play Connections
In Connections, you are presented with a grid of 16 words, and your goal is to organize them into four sets of four by identifying the connections between them. These connections could revolve around concepts like video game franchises, book series, colors, or restaurant names.
While some words may fit multiple themes, there is only one correct answer. You can shuffle and rearrange the words to help visualize the connections better.
Each group is color-coded, with yellow being the easiest followed by green, blue, and purple.
Pick four words and click Submit. If correct, the words will be removed and the theme revealed. Incorrect guesses count as mistakes, with only four allowed before the game ends.
