Connections is the latest puzzle game from the New York Times. It challenges players to categorize 16 words into four groups based on their relationships. The game resets daily at midnight with varying difficulty levels. Similar to Wordle, players can track their winning streak and compete with friends.
If you’re struggling with today’s Connections puzzle, check out our tips and hints below. And if you still can’t solve it, the answers are provided at the end.
How to play Connections
In Connections, you are presented with a grid of 16 words and must organize them into four sets of four by identifying their connections. These connections can range from titles of video games to shades of red or names of chain restaurants.
While some words may seem to fit multiple themes, there is only one correct solution. You can shuffle and rearrange the grid to help visualize the connections better.
Each group is color-coded, with yellow being the easiest and purple the most challenging. Select four words and submit your answer. Correct guesses reveal the theme, while incorrect guesses count as mistakes (you have four chances).
