Connections is the newest puzzle game from the New York Times. Your task is to categorize 16 words into four secret groups by identifying the connections between them. The game resets daily at midnight, with each puzzle varying in difficulty. Like Wordle, you can track your winning streak and compare scores with friends.
If you’re struggling with today’s Connections puzzle, check out our tips and hints below. And if you still need help, the answers are provided at the end.
How to Play Connections
In Connections, you’ll see a grid of 16 words and your goal is to group them into four sets of four by finding the connections. These sets could revolve around themes like video game franchises, book sequels, colors, or restaurant names.
Some words may fit multiple themes, but only one answer is correct. You can shuffle the words on the grid to help visualize potential connections.
Each group is color-coded – yellow being the easiest, followed by green, blue, and purple.
Select four words and click Submit. If correct, the words will be removed, revealing the connecting theme. Incorrect guesses count as mistakes, with only four allowed before the game ends.
