Connections is the latest puzzle game from the New York Times. The game challenges players to categorize a pool of 16 words into four secret groups by uncovering how the words relate to each other. The puzzle resets daily at midnight with varying levels of difficulty. Similar to Wordle, players can track their winning streaks and compare scores with friends.
If you’re struggling with today’s Connections puzzle, check out our tips and hints below. The answers for today will also be revealed at the end.
How to Play Connections
In Connections, players are presented with a grid of 16 words, and the objective is to organize these words into four sets of four by identifying the connections that link them. These connections could be based on themes like video game franchises, book series sequels, shades of red, or chain restaurant names.
While some words may seem to fit multiple themes, there is only one correct answer. Players can shuffle and rearrange the grid to visualize connections better.
Each group is color-coded, with yellow being the easiest to decipher, followed by green, blue, and purple groups.
Select four words and submit your answer. Correct guesses remove the words from the grid and reveal the connecting theme. Incorrect guesses are counted as mistakes, with only four mistakes allowed before the game ends.
