Connections is the latest puzzle game from the New York Times. The game challenges players to categorize a pool of 16 words into four secret groups by identifying their relationships. Each puzzle resets nightly at midnight with varying difficulty levels. Similar to Wordle, players can track their winning streak and compare scores with friends.
If you’re struggling to solve today’s Connections puzzle, check out our tips and hints below. The answers for today’s puzzle are also provided at the end.
How to play Connections
In Connections, players are presented with a grid of 16 words and must organize them into four sets of four by identifying the connections between them. These connections can be based on various themes like video game franchises, book sequels, shades of red, or chain restaurant names.
While some words may seem to fit multiple themes, there is only one correct answer. Players can shuffle and rearrange the grid to better visualize potential connections.
Each group is color-coded, with the yellow group being the easiest and the purple group being the most challenging.
Select four words and click Submit. If correct, the words will be removed from the grid, and the connecting theme will be revealed. Incorrect guesses count as mistakes, with a limit of four mistakes per game.
