Connections is the latest puzzle game from the New York Times. The game challenges players to categorize a pool of 16 words into four secret groups by identifying their connections. Each puzzle resets daily at midnight with varying levels of difficulty, allowing players to track their winning streaks and compare scores with friends, similar to Wordle.
If you’re struggling with today’s Connections puzzle, check out our tips and hints below. If you still can’t solve it, we’ll reveal the answers at the end.
How to play Connections
In Connections, players are presented with a grid of 16 words and tasked with organizing them into four sets of four based on their connections. These connections can be related to themes like video game franchises, book series sequels, shades of red, or chain restaurant names.
Some words may seem to fit multiple themes, but there is only one correct answer. Players can shuffle and rearrange the grid to help identify the connections more easily.
Each group is color-coded, with yellow being the easiest, followed by green, blue, and purple groups.
Select four words and click “Submit.” Correct guesses remove the words from the grid and reveal the connecting theme. Incorrect guesses count as mistakes, with only four mistakes allowed before the game ends.
