Connections is the latest puzzle game from the New York Times. The game challenges you to categorize a pool of 16 words into four secret groups by discerning how the words relate to each other. The puzzle resets daily at midnight with varying difficulty levels. Like Wordle, you can track your winning streak and compare scores with friends.
If you’re finding today’s Connections puzzle challenging, check out our tips and hints below. If you still need help, the answers are provided at the end.
How to play Connections
In Connections, you’ll see a grid of 16 words, and your goal is to organize these words into four sets of four by identifying the connections between them. These connections could be titles of video game series, book sequels, shades of red, chain restaurant names, etc.
Some words may seem to fit multiple themes, but there is only one correct answer. You can shuffle the grid of words to better visualize potential connections.
Each group is color-coded, with the yellow group being the easiest to solve, followed by green, blue, and purple.
Select four words and click Submit. If correct, the words will be removed and the connecting theme revealed. A wrong guess counts as a mistake, with only four mistakes allowed before the game ends.
