Connections is the latest puzzle game from the New York Times. The game requires you to categorize a pool of 16 words into four secret groups by identifying how the words relate to each other. Each new puzzle resets every night at midnight with varying levels of difficulty. Like Wordle, you can track your winning streak and compete with friends.
If you’re struggling with today’s Connections puzzle, check out our tips and hints below. If you still can’t solve it, we’ll provide the answers at the end.
How to play Connections
In Connections, you will see a grid of 16 words. Your goal is to organize these words into four sets of four by identifying the connections between them. These connections could revolve around titles of video game franchises, book series sequels, shades of red, names of chain restaurants, and more.
There may be words that could fit into multiple themes, but only one answer is correct. You can shuffle and rearrange the words to better visualize the connections.
Each group is color-coded, with the yellow group being the easiest, followed by green, blue, and purple groups.
Select four words and click Submit. If correct, the words will be removed, and the connecting theme will be revealed. Incorrect guesses count as mistakes, and you have a limit of four mistakes before the game ends.
