Connections is the latest puzzle game from the New York Times. The game challenges players to categorize a pool of 16 words into four secret groups by identifying their relationships. The puzzle resets daily at midnight with varying levels of difficulty. Similar to Wordle, you can track your winning streak and compare scores with friends.
If you’re struggling with today’s Connections puzzle, check out our tips and hints below. And if you still can’t solve it, we’ll reveal the answers at the end.
How to play Connections
In Connections, you will see a grid of 16 words, and your task is to organize them into four sets of four by identifying the connections between them. These connections could involve video game titles, book sequels, shades of red, chain restaurant names, and more.
While some words may seem to fit multiple themes, there is only one correct answer. You have the ability to shuffle and rearrange the grid to better visualize the connections. Each group is color-coded: yellow being the easiest, followed by green, blue, and purple.
Select four words and click Submit. If correct, the words will be removed and the connecting theme revealed. Incorrect guesses count as mistakes, with only four allowed before the game ends.
