Connections is the latest puzzle game from the New York Times. The game challenges players to categorize a pool of 16 words into four secret groups by finding the connections between them. Each puzzle resets at midnight with varying levels of difficulty. Similar to Wordle, players can track their winning streaks and compare scores with friends.
If you’re struggling with today’s Connections puzzle, check out our tips and hints below. If you still can’t solve it, we’ll provide the answers at the end.
How to play Connections
In Connections, you’ll see a grid of 16 words and your goal is to organize them into four sets of four by identifying the connections between them. These connections could be related to titles of video game franchises, book series sequels, shades of red, chain restaurant names, and more.
While some words may seem to fit multiple themes, there is only one correct answer. You can shuffle and rearrange the words to make the connections clearer.
Each group is color-coded, with yellow being the easiest, followed by green, blue, and purple. Choose four words and hit Submit. If correct, the words will be removed, revealing the connecting theme. Guess incorrectly, and it will count as a mistake. You only have four mistakes before the game ends.
