Connections is the latest puzzle game from the New York Times. The game challenges you to categorize a pool of 16 words into four secret groups by discerning how the words relate to each other. The puzzle resets daily at midnight with varying degrees of difficulty. Similar to Wordle, you can track your winning streak and compare scores with friends.
Some days can be more challenging than others. If you’re struggling with today’s Connections puzzle, check out our tips and hints below. If you still need help, the answers are provided at the end.
How to play Connections
In Connections, you’ll see a grid of 16 words and your goal is to group them into four sets of four by identifying their connections. These connections could range from video game franchise titles to shades of red. You can shuffle and rearrange the words to help visualize the connections better.
Each group is color-coded, with yellow being the easiest to decipher, followed by green, blue, and purple groups.
Select four words and click Submit. If correct, the words will be removed, revealing the connecting theme. Incorrect guesses count as mistakes, with only four allowed before the game ends.
