Nintendo today held its Partner Showcase Direct, in which it revealed games coming to Switch from its third-party partners in 2024. While most eyes were keen for the former Xbox exclusives that were coming to Switch — Pentiment and Grounded being confirmed during the show — those weren’t the only games shown. The company revealed several other titles coming to Switch, including a new Endless Ocean game, a new version of Shin Megami Tensei V, and the return of Monster Hunter Stories.
Endless Ocean: Luminous was the game that capped the show, a co-op exploration title where players can interact with 500 different species of marine life. It’s presumably a sequel to Endless Ocean and Endless Ocean 2, which launched on the Wii. It launches on May 2. Other sequels announced at the event include Ender Magnolia: Bloom In the Mist (a sequel to Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights), launching this year; and Super Monkey Ball: Banana Rumble, which launches on June 25.
Atlus revealed Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance, an enhanced edition of the 2021 game, which launches on June 21. Other titles revealed during the show include South Park: Snow Day (March 26), World of Goo 2 (May 23), Unicorn Overlord (March 8, demo available today), and Another Crab’s Treasure (April 25). Other games didn’t come with release dates, but general 2024 windows, including Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream, gunpla sim Gundam Breaker 4 and Arranger: A Role-Puzzling Adventure.
Several titles from older consoles are coming to the Switch, including Epic Mickey: Rebrushed and Monster Hunter Stories, which originally launched on the 3DS. The latter also launches on PS4 and Switch this summer. The Star Wars Battlefront Collection brings the classic multiplayer titles to the Switch on March 14. One other older title is also launching on the Switch, but only in Japan: Mother 3, the GBA RPG sequel to Earthbound, which has never released in the West.
