The excitement for Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Elite laptops is growing. Having witnessed the performance of these machines firsthand, it’s safe to say that they are the laptops I’m most eager about this year.
Today, a leak has unveiled the appearance of some of the first devices featuring this highly anticipated chip. Shared on X by the reliable Microsoft leaker WalkingCat are images of a new product known as the “Yoga Slim 7 14 Snapdragon Edition.”
The laptop bears resemblance to the existing Lenovo Slim 7i but with a much sleeker design. It appears razor-thin around the edges with no visible fan vents. Although the exact thickness is unknown, it certainly gives off a slim look. While not confirmed, there is a possibility that this is a fanless laptop akin to the MacBook Air.
The images shared by WalkingCat showcase every detail of the device, including the new “Lenovo” branding on the lid.

The device features a Copilot key, three USB-C ports, and what appears to be a 14-inch display. Specifics on the specifications are scarce according to the leaker.
Lenovo’s Yoga brand is already home to impressive laptops like the dual-screen Yoga Book 9i and the Yoga 9i, making a Yoga Slim 7 14 Snapdragon Edition a welcome addition. This brand represents Lenovo’s premium line, showcasing that laptop manufacturers are elevating performance in high-end laptops.
It also indicates that laptop makers are possibly positioning these Qualcomm-powered devices uniquely, not just as Intel alternatives, as evidenced by the “Snapdragon Edition” branding. Companies will need to innovate in marketing and selling these MacBook Air competitors, ideally offering competitive pricing.
While these devices appear premium, they could potentially be more affordable. For reference, the Yoga Slim 7 14 falls within the $800 to $1,000 price range. Lenovo’s previous ThinkPad X13s, equipped with Qualcomm’s older Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 chip, launched at a hefty $1,800, placing it out of reach for many consumers.
Rumors suggest this laptop will be joined by another speculated model from Microsoft, the Surface Laptop 6, featuring a Qualcomm chip and a redesigned look akin to the Surface Pro 10. Major players like Dell, HP, Asus, and more are expected to jump on board, offering Snapdragon Edition laptops in popular lines like XPS, Spectre, and Zenbook.
