Recently, it was announced that many Motorola phones will be receiving the Android 15 update. Now, it has been revealed that a feature first introduced with the Samsung Galaxy S24 series and select Google Pixel phones will soon be available on Motorola devices as well.
Motorola has confirmed that Circle to Search will be coming to select Moto phones. However, the specific models that will be receiving this feature have not been disclosed yet.
Circle to Search allows users to easily search for information about something on their screen by circling it with their fingers. Once identified, relevant search results are displayed, providing a convenient way to satisfy curiosity without disrupting your workflow.
In addition to Circle to Search, Motorola also mentioned that some of its phones would receive support for Rich Communication Services (RCS), Google Gemini, and Google Photos’ AI tools like Magic Editor.
While the previous announcement from Motorola listed supported models for Android 15, the latest press release only mentioned that Circle to Search would be available on select devices.
It is speculated that Circle to Search and other tools will likely be available on Motorola’s latest smartphones, including the Moto G Power 5G (2024), Moto G 5G (2024), and Moto G Stylus 5G (2024). It is also expected to be supported on the Razr 2024 and Razr Plus 2024, with potential support for additional models.
Initially, Circle to Search support was limited to a few Android flagships but has expanded to include other devices. For example, last week three Honor phones were reported to support Circle to Search.
More details are anticipated to be revealed by Motorola in the near future.
