The release of the Motorola ThinkPhone back in 2023 was a memorable event that captivated many due to its nostalgic ThinkPad-inspired design and appealing specifications. While it may not have been the most revolutionary phone, it did mark Motorola’s entry into the business phone market. Now, Motorola is back with the all-new ThinkPhone 25 model.
Emphasizing its focus on business users, Motorola positions the ThinkPhone 25 as a dedicated business phone, yet it remains available for purchase by non-enterprise customers as well. The question remains, is this phone worth considering?
The design of the ThinkPhone 25 continues the legacy of its predecessor with an Aramid fiber rear panel, ThinkPhone branding, and a sleek Pantone Carbon Black color option. Featuring IP68 dust and water resistance, MIL-SPEC-810H certification, and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protecting its 6.36-inch pOLED display, the ThinkPhone 25 is both stylish and rugged. Notably, it incorporates Gorilla Glass 7i, a recent innovation from Corning specifically designed for mid-range smartphones.
Internally, the ThinkPhone 25 is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage. Running on Android 14, it boasts several business-oriented features like Motorola’s ThinkShield, Smart Connect, and Moto AI with advanced security measures. With a commitment to providing updates until 2029, Motorola is elevating its support for the ThinkPhone 25, aligning it with premium offerings like the Motorola Edge 50 Neo.
The camera setup on the ThinkPhone 25 includes a 50MP Sony Lytia 700C main camera, a 13MP wide-angle lens, and a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, providing impressive photography capabilities for a business-centric device. Additionally, it features a 32MP front camera for selfies. A 4310mAh battery promises up to 34 hours of usage and supports fast charging with a 68W wired TurboPower charger or a 15W wireless charger.
Priced at 450 British pounds (approximately $602), the ThinkPhone 25 is set to launch in November through Motorola’s online store, as well as on the Vodafone and EE networks. Alongside this model, Motorola will introduce the Moto G75 Business Edition with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor in October.
