Scopely‘s Monopoly Go! has generated over $3 billion in revenue since its launch.
Based on Hasbro’s second quarter 2024 financial report, this landmark also solidifies Hasbro as the leading licensor of video games in the past year.
“Licensing was a significant highlight in the quarter. The success of Monopoly Go! by our partners at Scopely continued in Q2, surpassing our revenue expectations and boosting both revenue and profit significantly.”

Exceeding Expectations
Gina Goetter, the CFO of Hasbro, also revealed that several titles performed exceptionally well, notably Monopoly Go!, which exceeded projections.
Q2 revenue saw a 20% increase year over year, primarily driven by the success of digital licensing, led by Monopoly Go!.
According to the CFO, Hasbro anticipates that the free-to-play game will generate approximately $105 million in revenue for the full year, assuming a gradual monthly revenue decline and sustained marketing efforts.
Earlier this month, Scopely and Hasbro collaborated to launch a new board game inspired by Monopoly Go!.
