Gaming and AI modular data layer CARV has partnered with Marblex, Netmarble’s blockchain company, to gain new insights into user behavior in both Web2 and Web3 games.
This partnership aims to enhance global engagement among players by expanding across platforms and devices.
Marblex has made an undisclosed investment in CARV, anticipating several benefits such as broadening Marblex’s reach to Web3 users.
Web3 Transactions
CARV’s ecosystem currently includes 2.2 million gamers on mobile, console, and PC across Latin America, Southeast Asia, and Europe. The gamer data collected complies with mobile security requirements and has facilitated partnerships with Ronin, BNB Chain, Avalanche, Linea, and other Web3 entities. CARV has experienced significant growth with ERC-7231, an Ethereum-approved protocol aimed at redefining data ownership.
The core mission of the company is to empower users with “data self-sovereignty” through two main ecosystems: CARV Protocol and CARV Play. The former is an incentivized data sharing platform, while the latter is an AI-powered “super app” focusing on social elements, credentialing, and game publishing.
“Understanding our users is crucial in our role as game creators and ecosystem developers. Partnering with CARV and its robust data layer enables us to deliver personalized experiences through active data sharing, aligning our offerings more closely with user preferences,” said Marblex CEO Jin Pyo-Hong.
“Marblex is a trailblazer in gaming and blockchain, and we are excited to enhance the company’s data capabilities within the dynamic landscape of Web3,” said CARV co-founder Victor Yu. “Identifying the right audience, particularly in a compliant and ethical manner, is essential for transitioning gamers from Web2 to Web3. We are eager to collaborate with Marblex to achieve this goal.”
The investment from Marblex follows Netmarble’s successful 2023 performance, positioning itself as Korea’s second-largest mobile publisher with a 65% decrease in net losses.
