Look North World, a user-generated content game studio and publisher led by Bungie cofounder Alexander Seropian, has raised $2.5 million.
It will use the funding to create more games for Fortnite with the Unreal Editor, a platform that enables anyone to publish their own Fortnite game islands. One upcoming island is a shooter game based on Bandai Namco’s Gundam.
Look North World has now secured total seed funding, mentioned Seropian in an interview with GamesBeat. A UEFN Island centered around the upcoming Netflix anime series Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance is being developed in collaboration with Bandai Namco Entertainment America.
The Gundam game will be a free addition to Fortnite, allowing players to engage in a Team Deathmatch-style game set in the Fortnite universe. The Gundam anime series will also be featured at San Diego Comic-Con this week.
