Sega has just announced the upcoming release of the next installment in the Like a Dragon series, now titled Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii. The game promises to take players on a unique and exciting adventure like never before.
During the RGG Summit 24 event, Sega unveiled details about the game set to launch on February 28, 2025. Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii is inspired by the success of 2024’s Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, with a focus on the memorable character Goro Majima. In this spinoff, Majima finds himself in a pirate yakuza adventure after losing his memory and being found by a young boy named Noah on Rich Island.
Players can expect thrilling gameplay as they assemble a pirate crew and explore the seas around Hawaii. Real-time battles between enemy ships, hidden treasures on various islands, and action-packed combat with Majima switching between different combat styles are all part of the experience in Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii.
The game showcases three main locales – Rich Island, Honolulu, and Madlantis, each with its own unique characteristics and challenges. Additionally, beloved minigames from the series such as Crazy Delivery, Dragon Card, Karaoke, and Minato Girls make a return in this installment.
