LCS continues to expand its list of partnership deals with the recent addition of AT&T as their official Connectivity Partner. This partnership will see AT&T supporting multiple areas of the LCS event and broadcast experience, including broadcast integration, ad spots, and on-site event activations.
One of the exciting new additions as part of this partnership is the “LCS Connected presented by AT&T” broadcast segment, which will provide viewers with a behind-the-scenes look at game action, featuring real-time shot calls and tactical discussions. Additionally, the AT&T logo will be prominently displayed through in-game placement via rift banners and on player, referee, and shoutcaster headsets.
AT&T will also enhance the in-person fan experience as the presenting partner of “LCS Fan Fest,” a pre-party held during the LCS Finals and LCS Championship.
This marks the third major brand partnership for the LCS this year, following previous deals with automotive brand KIA and PAGODA® Snacks. The league has been actively expanding its portfolio of partners, with the recent announcement of Uber Eats as the new partner for the League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC), in addition to renewing partnerships with KitKat, Kia, and LG UltraGear.
Mark Zimmerman, LCS Commissioner, expressed excitement about the partnership, stating, “AT&T has been a long-time supporter of gaming and esports, so we’re excited to forge this partnership with a brand that has a passion for our league, players, and fans. The LCS is embarking on an exciting new chapter where we’re deeply focused on creating new, innovative experiences for our teams and viewers, and AT&T has been a leader in creating cutting-edge technologies that are essential to our sport.”
The LCS Spring regular split is currently underway, with playoffs scheduled for March. The winner and runner-up of the playoffs will represent the region at MSI 2024 in Chengdu, China.
