Pocket Pair’s Palworld is set to arrive on mobile devices through a collaboration with Krafton, the publisher behind PUBG. This partnership confirms recent speculation that has been circulating online.
The speculation originated from a Twitter post showcasing a job listing from Krafton, indicating the development of a mobile version of Palworld.
Krafton has officially announced that a mobile version of Palworld is in the works, with its PUBG Studios creative team leading the development. The company has signed a licensing agreement with Pocket Pair to adapt the PC and console title in a new way tailored for mobile devices.

As part of the agreement with Pocket Pair, Krafton will take charge of developing Palworld for mobile, utilizing its expertise in the mobile gaming space. In a statement translated via Google, Krafton expressed its goal to “bring the core enjoyable elements of the original game to the mobile platform.”
Palworld initially launched on PC and Xbox in January and achieved significant success as a monster battling and open-world survival game. It garnered high concurrent player numbers on Steam, with 2.1 million users, sold 15 million copies on PC in a single month, and reached an additional 10 million players on Xbox.
The game’s resemblance to Pokémon characters played a key role in its popularity, earning it the unofficial nickname Pokémon with Guns.
In September, Nintendo and The Pokémon Company filed a lawsuit against Palworld, reportedly related to possible patent infringement of Poké Balls rather than character designs. However, this legal action did not prevent the game from launching on PS5 shortly after.
With the upcoming mobile adaptation, Palworld is poised to attract a wider audience, regardless of the stance of the Pokémon franchise on the game.
