Intel’s highly anticipated Battlemage GPUs are expected to make their debut before the end of the year. Reports indicate that Intel recently held a conference with Asus to discuss various updates, including the current instability crisis and the upcoming Arrow Lake CPUs. However, the highlight of the event was the revelation about the Battlemage GPUs.
VideoCardz first reported this news, which originated from the Weibo forums. According to a forum participant who attended the event, Intel has confirmed that the Battlemage graphics cards will be released before the end of the year. This aligns with the upcoming launch of Intel’s Lunar Lake CPUs in September and the recent emergence of engineering samples, indicating an imminent launch.
While there are no images or official announcements confirming the release of Battlemage GPUs this year, the possibility remains. Given that it has been two years since the launch of Arc A770 and A750 GPUs, Intel is likely aiming to introduce its next-gen GPUs ahead of competitors like AMD and Nvidia. However, Intel has not publicly confirmed the launch date for its next-gen GPUs.

Aside from GPUs, Intel provided other updates during the conference. Regarding the next-gen Arrow Lake desktop chips, Intel claimed that these chips can achieve similar clock speeds as the 14th-gen CPUs while consuming 100 watts less power. The company also assured stability for these CPUs, addressing concerns over the crashing issues experienced with the 13th-gen and 14th-gen CPUs.
Intel also discussed the upcoming microcode update for the 13th-gen and 14th-gen CPUs, scheduled for mid-August. Reports suggest that this update will not impact the performance of these CPUs, addressing concerns about the instability problem. However, Intel has not officially confirmed whether the microcode update will affect performance.
More information about Intel’s plans for the second half of the year is expected to be revealed in September. Following the Lunar Lake launch, Intel is hosting its Innovation event on September 24, where additional details about Battlemage and Arrow Lake may be announced.
