Exciting news for music lovers! Instagram and Spotify are now integrated, allowing you to easily save Instagram tracks to your Spotify favorites directly from the Instagram app. This new feature was globally launched on October 17th and does not require a Spotify Premium subscription.
Instagram has evolved into a platform where users share videos with music, making it a popular way to discover new tunes. With the new cross-app feature, you can now spot a Spotify “Add” button on song pages, enabling you to quickly add the track to your Liked Songs playlist on Spotify. No more hassle of trying to remember the track name later on!
Although the ability to add Instagram discoveries to specific Spotify playlists would be a nice touch, the current feature is still very convenient. In addition, Spotify has recently introduced an AI playlist creation tool and teased what’s in store for the upcoming Spotify Wrapped, possibly involving your favorite artists.
As of July 2024, Spotify boasts 626 million monthly active users, showing a 14% year-over-year increase. A third of these users are on Spotify’s Premium tier.
