InnoGames, a German mobile games developer, has appointed Sebastian Goldt as its new CMO. Goldt, who previously served as director of growth for the Forge of Empires publisher, has now taken over from Felix Janzen as CMO. The popular game Forge of Empires has generated over $1 billion in lifetime revenue.
In his new role, Goldt will supervise all marketing efforts as the company aims to enhance its standing among Germany’s top game developers and publishers. He will report directly to CEO and co-founder Hendrik Klindworth.
Embracing a new challenge
CEO Klindworth expressed confidence in Goldt’s abilities, stating, “We believe Sebastian is the perfect choice to succeed Felix. We are excited to collaborate with him to maximize the visibility of our nine live games and upcoming releases.”
Goldt shared his enthusiasm for the new role, acknowledging the achievements made with Janzen. He mentioned the existing strong marketing team, successful games, and promising upcoming titles. Goldt emphasized the need to adapt marketing strategies to ensure player acquisition at a reasonable cost, which will be his primary focus going forward.
