Please note that to send photos and create albums, you’ll need to be a Skylight Plus member, which requires a yearly subscription fee of $39. Once you’re signed up, you can start using your Cal Max as a digital picture frame.
How to send photos to the Skylight Cal Max via email
If your photos are stored on your PC, the quickest way to transfer them to your Skylight Cal Max is through email.
Step 1: When setting up your Cal Max, assign a name to your device.
Step 2: The device name will also create an email address for your Cal Max. For example, naming your device “testing-cal-max” will generate an email account “testing-cal-max@ourskylight.com”.
Step 3: Remember the email address. In case you forget, you can contact Skylight support for assistance.
Step 4: Send an email with images attached to the provided email address. No title or body text is required, as the Cal Max email only processes attachments.
Step 5: Once sent, your images will automatically appear on the Cal Max.
How to send photos to the Skylight Cal Max via mobile app
If your photos are on your smartphone, using the mobile app is a convenient method.
Step 1: Open the Skylight app and select your Cal Max from the registered devices list.
Step 2: Tap the Photos tile.
Step 3: Press the Plus button at the bottom of the screen.
Step 4: Choose an option like Pick from Gallery to select images from your phone.
Step 5: Add captions to the selected images (if desired) before finalizing the upload process.
Step 6: After a brief wait, your images will be added to the Photos section of your Cal Max.
How to delete photos on the Skylight Cal Max
If you wish to remove images from your Cal Max, follow these steps:
Step 1: Navigate to the Photos section on the Skylight app or directly on the Cal Max.
Step 2: Tap the Select button.
Step 3: Select the images you want to delete.
Step 4: Press the red Delete button to remove the selected photos from your device.
