When it comes to providing the ultimate multiplayer experience on mobile devices, COD Mobile remains the top choice for mobile shooters. Players often have a strong desire to compete with top players across different servers that are divided by region. This article explores the current options available for changing servers in COD Mobile and looks at alternative solutions.
Can You Change Server in COD Mobile?
As of July 2024, COD Mobile does not offer players the option to switch to a different server within the game. Servers are automatically assigned based on the player’s location when logging in. This helps developers reduce latency and improve connection stability, ensuring all players have a smooth and responsive gaming experience.
While some players may consider using a Virtual Private Network (VPN) to access servers in other regions, it is important to note that this goes against the game’s policies. Activision explicitly prohibits the use of VPNs to manipulate server selection, as this can result in permanent account bans, leading to the loss of progress and access to the game.
Although direct server switching for gameplay is not available, COD Mobile provides a workaround for players who want to compare their achievements with players in different regions through the Weapon Leaderboards feature.
To change your displayed server on the Weapon Leaderboards, simply follow these steps:
- Open COD Mobile and go to the main menu.
- Choose the “Leaderboard” option.
- In the Leaderboards menu, select the “Weapons” tab.
- Your current server will be shown next to the “Global” option. Click on it to choose a different server.
- Once you select a new server, your weapon statistics will be compared with players from that server.
