Both KLab and Pocket Pair are currently at the forefront of the gaming industry, and they have joined forces to develop and operate a new hybrid-casual game.
Considering the enormous success of Palworld, an open world survival craft game by Pocket Pair, it is safe to say that this collaboration holds great potential. Palworld has generated over $200 million in its first five days, but has also attracted attention from Pokémon makers Niantic. There are striking similarities between Palworld and Pokémon, earning it the title of “Pokémon with guns”.
But the similarities don’t end there. Palworld’s game elements seem to draw inspiration from various popular franchises, such as Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Killzone, and Fortnite, making it a rich and multifaceted game.
On the other hand, KLab is known for developing the popular 3D action game Bleach: Brave Souls, along with the Love Live! School Idol Festival franchise. However, Love Live! School Idol Festival 2 Miracle Live, a sequel to the successful franchise, faced challenges and was eventually announced to close a few months after its global launch.
The collaboration between KLab and Pocket Pair for a new hybrid-casual game aims to combine KLab’s expertise in mobile online games with Pocket Pair’s unique game development skills to deliver an exciting experience for mobile gamers worldwide. Though specific details about the game are not yet revealed, more information about the proposed collaboration can be found here.
