If you’re in the market for an affordable phone, there’s a new option that’s set to launch soon and definitely worth considering. GSMArena has uncovered leaked details about the Honor 200 Smart, and it appears to be a stylish new phone that won’t break the bank.
Building on the success of the Honor 200 and Honor 200 Pro, the Honor 200 Smart is rumored to feature a 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chip, which is also present in phones from Xiaomi and other brands. While it’s a lower-end chip from 2023, it should still offer decent performance in the Honor 200 Smart.
Reported specifications include a 6.8-inch LCD screen with a Full HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The phone is expected to come with 4GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, along with a reliable 5,200 mAh battery that supports 35W fast charging through USB-C.
The device is said to sport a 5MP front camera located in a hole-punch cutout, as well as two rear cameras—a primary 50MP f/1.8 camera and a 2MP depth sensor.
The Honor 200 Smart, available in green and black color options, boasts features like a fingerprint reader, a rare 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth 5.0, and stereo speakers. It runs on Android 14 and MagicOS 8.0 out of the box.
According to reports, the Honor 200 Smart is priced at 200 euros (approximately $225) and is set to be launched in the coming days or weeks. If the leaked specs hold true, this is an incredibly competitive price for a smartphone of this caliber.
Earlier this year, the Honor 200 and Honor 200 Pro were released with staggered global launches. Our experience with the Honor 200 Pro showcased its innovative design, excellent camera system, and impressive display. Priced at around $890, the Honor 200 Pro is significantly more expensive than the Honor 200 Smart, making it intriguing to see what the budget-friendly variant can offer.
Although there’s no specific information on the initial launch markets for the Honor 200 Smart, more details are expected to emerge soon.
