HiberWorld, a web-based game creation tool, has recently introduced new gameplay modes to enhance its platform. Players and creators can now enjoy first-person exploration, vehicle driving, competitive matches, and classic side-scrolling worlds.
These new modes were added to accommodate the growing player base on Hiber. The addition of vehicles and races in January resulted in over 1,000 racing worlds created by users within a week. The platform now boasts over 5.5 million user-created worlds.
Hiber’s CEO, Michael Yngfors, expressed the company’s commitment to providing diverse modes to unlock creative possibilities for users. By introducing various modes, Hiber aims to encourage innovation and creativity among its users.
Since its establishment in 2017, Hiber, based in Gothenburg, Sweden, has focused on democratizing 3D world creation. The platform offers AI-based no-code tools for game creation and recently launched the AI World Creator in alpha testing. Hiber’s web-based games can be embedded in websites and played on mobile devices for easy access.
New developers can now join React developers who gained access to the Hiber3D engine through the Hiber3D Development Kit (HDK) last year. Hiber has developed its own first-party games for the HiberWorld platform, including the HiberLabs series with genres like thrillers, vehicle-wrestling sumo cars, and side-scroller series.
In addition to the new modes, Hiber plans to introduce more monetization opportunities in future updates. The company has raised $19.5 million in funding to date.
