Google today announced new ways it’s enhancing the Play platform, with several game-related updates. These updates include a new feature for Google Play Games on PC that allows players to run two games simultaneously — one for active play and one for passive accumulation. Other updates include new games coming to Play Pass and enhanced experiences for Play Points earners.
The new feature on Play for PC is designed for players to monitor resources in one game while actively playing another. The second game typically involves idle gameplay where resources are accumulated over time. This feature supports hundreds of games, many of which are idle games, making it useful for Android gamers.
Google also announced the arrival of new games on Play Pass: Asphalt Legends Unite is available now, with Call of Duty: Mobile and Candy Crush Saga coming on August 1. Kingdom Rush 5: Alliance will be added later in the year.
In addition to games, Google introduced new rewards and experiences for its Play Points program. This includes a member event at San Diego Comic-Con where Silver+ members have VIP access to a “Wheel of Champions” in collaboration with Marvel Games and Kabam. Members can earn exclusive rewards, including photo ops.
