Fortnite is set to introduce two new game modes, adding to the variety of gameplay options available. What began as a PvE game has evolved over time, incorporating a Battle Royale mode and expanding further from there. With the current growth seen in the game’s latest chapter, Epic Games is poised to push boundaries once again.
Epic Games Adding 2 New Fortnite Modes
Leaker ShiinaBR has revealed that Epic Games will introduce two new game modes, including a “new version of Fortnite: Reload.” The second mode is described as an entirely new concept and is expected to be released within the year. While details on this new mode are scarce, it is anticipated to bring a fresh experience to players, building on the success of Chapter 5.
Following the expected release pattern, the new mode is likely to debut in Chapter 6 of the game, following the conclusion of the current Chapter 2 OG season.
Current Fortnite Game Modes
Currently, Fortnite offers a total of eight main game modes. These include the standard Battle Royale and Zero Build modes, which offer distinct gameplay experiences. Additionally, players can enjoy Reload, a respawn game with a unique loot pool on a smaller island, and Fortnite Festival, where players can engage in a musical gameplay similar to Guitar Hero.
New additions in Chapter 5 include LEGO Fortnite, a survival sandbox game akin to Minecraft, and Rocket Racing, a racing mode inspired by games like Mario Kart. Creative mode, while technically one of the eight modes, offers endless maps and games to explore. Save the World stands as the final alternative game mode, though it requires a separate purchase to access.
With an already diverse range of gameplay options available, Fortnite continues to expand its offerings and cater to a wide variety of player preferences.
