Exciting news for fans of sports simulation games as Football Manager 25 has been pushed back to a March 2025 release window, announced by developer Sports Interactive on Thursday.
In a detailed statement shared on X (formerly Twitter) and their website, Sports Interactive cited the need for more time to ensure the game meets high standards. This delay impacts all versions, including Football Manager 25 Touch on Nintendo Switch and the mobile version.
Originally set for a November 26 release, the date was only recently announced but faced delays due to ongoing development challenges, as mentioned in the new statement.
Studio director Miles Jacobson highlighted that Football Manager 25 will be a significant milestone for the series, introducing gameplay in a women’s league and transitioning to the Unity engine for enhanced visuals and performance. Jacobson acknowledged the complexities of this transition but assured fans of the return of familiar game modes in Football Manager 26.
Stay tuned for a gameplay reveal at the end of January and an Advanced Access period for PC and Mac users. For those who have preordered, refunds are available upon request.
