For the first time, Football Manager 25 will also be released as a Netflix exclusive for mobile devices, requiring a subscription for access. Additionally, Football Manager 25 Touch will be available on Nintendo Switch from December 3.
To kick off the excitement, a trailer has been released, providing a glimpse into what the game has in store. While the trailer does not showcase gameplay, the official website hints at upcoming announcements leading up to the release date.
One of the most notable features of Football Manager 25 is the introduction of women’s soccer, a long-awaited addition to the game. Studio director Miles Jacobson mentioned in a blog post that legal complications delayed the inclusion of women in previous versions, but the new graphics engine in this instalment aims to elevate the women’s game to new heights.
In addition, the game has transitioned to the Unity engine for enhanced visuals, including real-life player animations captured from football matches. This update marks the first major engine upgrade since 2017.
Furthermore, Football Manager 25 boasts a partnership with the Premier League, featuring all 20 clubs in the game.
Looking ahead, the studio has ambitious plans for the future of the series. Jacobson expressed that Football Manager 25 is only the beginning, with the studio envisioning the next 20 to 30 years of the franchise. With the previous title, Football Manager 24, being hailed as the most comprehensive version yet, fans can expect even more from the upcoming release.
