Final Fantasy XVI is now coming to PC. The official X (formerly Twitter) account announced that the former PlayStation 5 exclusive will be released on September 17 on Steam and Epic Games Store.
You can now wishlist or preorder the game on both platforms. Additionally, there is a free demo available that allows you to play through the opening section and a special Eikonic Challenge mode. Preordering will also provide some bonuses including the Cait Sith’s Charm, Sixteen Bells Orchestrion Roll item, and the Brave Blade weapon. The base game standard edition is available for $50, but you can opt for the $70 Complete Edition that includes the two released DLC: Echoes of the Fallen and The Rising Tide.

The previous mainline Final Fantasy games have eventually received PC ports, and Final Fantasy XVI will now be available on both Epic Games Store and Steam on the same day.
Producer Naoki Yoshida shared with Game Informer (via IGN) that the PC version was in the final optimization stages. The PC port has a huge file size of 170 GB according to the Steam page, but the recommended system specs are manageable with an AMD Ryzen 7 5700X or Intel Core i7-10700 CPU, and an AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT or Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080.
